Developing as a ceramic artist for nearly 30 years, I love the tactile opportunities clay provides. I am inspired by natural textures and forms, and strive to reference them in my work. I create both functional and decorative ceramics using both stoneware and porcelain. Kiln firings to 2350* Fahrenheit in a reduction atmosphere to accentuate the natural surface of the clay is my first choice. #Fire2350

Artist Statement - Developing my aesthetic as a ceramic artist for the last 25 years, I love the tactile opportunities that clay offers. The inspiration that natural textures and forms provide me are both interpreted, and referenced in my works. I create both functional and decorative pieces using stoneware, and porcelain. Kiln firings to 2350* Fahrenheit in a reduction atmosphere helps to accentuate the natural surface of the clay. This is my preferred method of firing.
